LEGAL SERVICES FOR THE INDIGENT
PRO BONO SERVICES
Pro Bono legal services are an important component of the Association's activities. The program is administered by Legal Services of the Hudson Valley with a toll free number at 877-LSHV-LAW. The regular number is 845-569-9110. They provide legal services for families and individuals threatened with eviction, for public benefits (federal and state), for families and individuals with disabilities and HIV, and for families with developmentally delayed children..
LEGAL AID SOCIETY
The Legal Aid Society of Orange County is based in Goshen and provides legal services for those charged with criminal offenses and for financially eligible adults in family court matters. The Society is a not-for-profit corporation with a board of directors and substantially funded by the County government. It has a staff of 14 attorneys managed by a chief attorney, Gary Abramson.
